The facial skin, it is clear, has some very clever self defence mechanisms built into it. But one thing it doesn't come with is an anti-ageing device.And as the most exposed part of the body, it is your face that ages the fastest. Every blast of cold air or ray of warm sunlight leaves its mark on your face;every puff of exhaust fumes or bottle of wine reinforces the effects that will only become more evident as time goes on.That is all extrinsic ageing - and is partly under you control. then there is intrinsic ageing, which even a clean-living agoraphobe can do little about,as it is mainly determined by your genes. The combination of external and internal influences determines when you acquire and age worn expression.
